2025 - Four Weeks of Wins: Kalmarunionen Takes 1st Place at Hack.lu CTF! ๐
This weekend, Kalmarunionen set out to win Hack.lu CTF โ a great competition that’s been running for 15 years, hosted by the German team fluxfingers from Ruhr University Bochum.
After finishing 2nd place in both 2023 and 2024, we were determined not to let history repeat itself. We started strong, held the top spot for most of the 48-hour competition, and this time we finally claimed the victory! ๐
A huge shoutout to fluxfingers for putting together some fantastic challenges โ we had a blast and are already looking forward to next year’s edition.
Four Weeks of Outstanding Results
This win also marks the fourth week of outstanding results for Kalmarunionen:
- ๐ฅ Won Hack.lu CTF
- ๐ฅ Won Google Finals Hackceler8 in Mexico
- ๐ฅ Won ASIS Quals CTF
- ๐ฅ Cyberlandshold placed second (with many of our players in the team) at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) European Cybersecurity Challenge (#ECSC)
It’s been an intense and amazing stretch - long nights, tons of teamwork, and a lot of passion. The season isn’t over yet, and we’re still hungry for more great results. ๐ช
