Kalmarunionen is now officially the #1 competitive hacking team in the world! 🏆

✨ The Road to #1

It’s been an incredible journey since we started in 2020, climbing our way up the global rankings on CTFtime.org:

  • 2020: 66th place
  • 2021: 15th place
  • 2022: 10th place
  • 2023: 3rd place
  • 2024: 1st place 🚀

So many weekends, late nights, and countless hours of hacking, planning, and fun went into reaching the top. We faced defeats, learned from them, and came back stronger—time and time again.

  • We’ve stayed up 48 hours straight more times than we can count. 💤
  • We’ve traveled around the world for competitions. ✈️
  • We’ve watched new friendships form along the way.
  • We’ve seen students evolve from beginners to sought-after security experts, proving that learning and innovation truly pay off.
